She barely had any, it was like if she had a kitten and it died she’d be like “oh, that’s so sad” gennnifer then barely even shed a tear. Kissing when you should be running? She was bold, gutsy and witty. Crewel’s love triangle didn’t bother me to the point of “headdesk-ation”, but I did feel that the relationships were underdeveloped and generally unnecessary.

Overall, this book was most definitely not for me. Again, what’s with YA books just having a face on them? You can depend on the evil women to be emotional, lashing out and sometimes hysterical. Comparatively little time is spent on the daily work of the Spinsters, how they operate the looms and manage their considerable responsibilities. I just wish someone else had thought of this idea and written a decent book about it.

At least, the characters narrating the situation focus on how disgusting she is, while he only gets a passing mention. I like books as much as I like coffee, but it is easier to read with children hanging on you than drink coffee due to the threat of third degree burns.

I love reading a book that is creweel fresh and new.

The weaving alvin done on an actual loom with threads from which you can see what you’re threading But he’s tough, protective, and yet somehow mysterious.

What I can say, however, is that the basic plot for Crewel is absolutely brilliant, and that this book is one of the most original and creative books I’ve ever read in my life, and definitely the most original and creative book I’ve read this year.

Off to find a good book! This should gennife been right up my alley. Maybe in print copy, for your safety. The reader can tell the author put a lot of thought into this book. Get to Know Us. But, she can be naive, even feel a bit underwhelming at first.

Crewel (Crewel World, #1) by Gennifer Albin

But then, I guess, one could also sweep that aside with justifications. It made my brain sleepy — more than it normally is. In spite of that the art of brightly colored, seductive facial make-up and attire is deemed to be extremely important to acquire.

Don’t even get aobin started on the romance.

Jinky Spring rated it did not like it Recommends it for: Quite unusual for a YA book. Almost as ridiculous as the fact that Adelice vennifer the novel entirely focused on boys.

And she said that out loud, mind you. Ugh, I swear, if I wasn’t reading this on my phone, I would’ve thrown it at a wall.

I could write my own synopsis for Crewellike I normally would at this point in the review, but, 1 I’m afraid of giving away too much, and would like anyone interested in reading Crewel to go into it knowing as little as possible; and 2 I honestly have no freaking clue how I could possibly write a synopsis for this book. This marks her as someone that would be of interest to the people who albi Arras, as the geennifer is completely dependent on the Guild to manipulate the world and bring in food and good weather.

Arras is a world of cocktails, beautiful women who hide deadly secrets behind their made-up faces and silk stockings, and men who fear women so much that women have been forced into powerless roles. All in all, Crewel by Gennifer Albin is quite an original story that I very much enjoyed.

Crewel being her debut novel, I have to say Gennifer Gdnnifer is an author to be reckoned with. Adelice’s parents knew of Adelice’s abilities and tried to hide her talents, only for Adelice to accidentally reveal them during the testing period. While reading, I was anxious crweel see what motivated these people and what they were trying to achieve. Who allowed them to have that control?

Such a character twist is not a beautiful thing to behold. If Spinsters could essentially take over, then why don’t they? I don’t respond to review requests sent through Goodreads because I genniifer get on here frequently enough.

The ending was so good too I have no criticism against this book, instead I can’t wait for the next instalment in this captivating new series. So far, I don’t have any wlbin of strong opinion about her.

Sure, it might be irrelevant, but what I do know is that it’s a woman in a crab costume and it’s staying. Goodreads helps you keep track of books you want to read. I’ll definitely read book 2.
