What else can you eddinfs from a face? If I had read this in my teens I probably would have been more forgiving of the flaws.
I like these books, don’t get me wrong – they’re fast-paced and fun and the election sequence in the third book involves some of the most readable political shenanigans I’ve come across in fantasy – but they’re far from perfect.

In a show of unity, the other three Church Knight Orders also send their champions to be his companions: May 31, Jimmy rated it it was amazing Recommends it for: It’s far too rushed elenuum plot in pages than in half of the Wheel of TimeEddings just isn’t a great author, and his long-term latent tendency toward racism, conservativism and sub-Nietzschean contempt for the little people breaches into plain sight in a way that doesn’t exactly spoil the book it’s a colour around the edges, not the central picture but that does give it a bad aftertaste.
Plot line is ok so far. Splendid Sparhawk This is probably the twentieth time I’ve read this collection of books, but I never grow tired of them.
