This book is not yet featured on Listopia. A great read for anyone wanting to know more about yoga beyond the physical asanas. However, then he went into yoga and health, where he started to assert unfounded things like doing yoga while menstruating can cause cancer longterm and other things I just can’t read and maintain respect for, and that had no evidence or sources to back the “medical” finding on. It is said that this is the way we will see the world after becoming firmly established in yoga.
Props for Yoga Dr Eyal Shifroni. I would say this is definitely worth a read if you’re a yogi and especially if you’re a student in the Iyengar tradition.

I highly recommend the one on childhood and the last chapter on teaching. Discusses how the respiratory system works and demonstrates a series of hatha yoga breathing exercises. There are no discussion topics on this book yet. This last actually had a depressing effect on me and made me question my desire to get yoga teacher certification.
