Reviewed by rachypooh 21 November Still, the info on how the foetus is developing is reliable and I found that fascinating, since you can’t see through your own skin, fat and muscle to what’s going on inside, you can’t feel anything except when the baby moves, and you have no control over yp it’s getting up to in there anyway.
This book is not for someone who is looking for a scientific read about the pregnancy journey, it is very light on the details. Sometimes, I found the diary entries very entertaining, and they contained some useful tidbits not spelled out in the more formal section of the chapter that follows. These diary accounts must be an accumulation of Cooke’s own experiences, the tthe of others and a general sympathy towards what women go through.
Would recommend to all. Cokoe course I’m also reading the “official” books coooe by medical doctors but this one was much more fun to read. I brought this after reading the reviews here and after a good friend recommend it.

The complete companion to nurture the body, mind and soul of the every day mum to be. I enjoyed the story of Vuff though couldn’t help but be slightly annoyed by the occasional drinks of alcohol the character would have – in fact if it hadn’t been for that I would have given 4 stars.

A light hearted look at pregnancy, with practical information thrown in too. When you move around during the day, you rock the baby kxz sleep. It was not practical nor useful to me.

Preview — Up the Duff by Kaz Cooke. However, I still enjoyed reading it weekly and the honesty in the last sections after the birth was vuff I asked for books that wouldn’t scare me about pregnancy and this is perfect. It’s tailored for parents whom like an easy to read using everyday English.
Cooke includes resources such as other good pregnancy and child-raising guides, and contact kza for support services, in the back. You need a good sense of humour and dutf your week each week and don’t skip ahead and it’s a bit of fun. This book was a bit too silly and fluffy for me. Written with well researched medical advice, a very funny personal diary and reat cartoons it gives a no nonsense, practical guide to being pregnant.
